These Terms and Conditions (together with the documents referred to it) set out the terms and conditions on which you create and access your online account (the ‘Online Account’) on our website www.lifelinecordblood.com ("our Site"). Our Site is controlled and operated by C.B.B. Lifeline Biotech Ltd (‘Lifeline’).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully prior to the creation of an online account on our Site. You should print a copy of these Website Terms and Conditions for future reference. Please click on the button marked "I Accept" when you start your registration process if you accept them. Please understand that if you refuse to accept these Terms and Conditions, you will not be able to create an Online account.
By creating and using an Online account you warrant that: You are the father or mother or any of the Legal Guardians who jointly with the mother or father or any other Legal Guardian as the case may be (the ‘Clients’) you have already entered into an Agreement (the ‘Agreement’) with Lifeline for the storage among other, of your child’s/ children umbilical cord blood and/ or cord tissue (‘the Child’).
You are creating this Online Account jointly with the father or mother or any of the Legal Guardians, as applicable.
GDPR: means the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) as amended or replaced from time to time.
Service(s): The provision by Lifeline to the you i.e. Donation, Procurement, Testing, Processing, Storage, Distribution and Import of Biological Samples and/or Cellular Therapy products.
Local Distributor: An Individual or a company that has entered into a Co-Operation Agreement with Lifeline and who is accordingly responsible to assist you and assist in the provision of the Service(s) to you in his geographical area/country through Lifeline.
You acknowledge, undertake and declare that:
Lifeline maintains an online electronic system through its Site through which you can create an Online account. You must create a single Online account through which you will access and confirm the accuracy of your personal data and submit any changes including physical and/or electronic address for correspondence purposes. The Online account is created jointly by the mother and/or father and/or any of the child’s legal guardians as the case may be.
Failure to proceed as aforesaid may result: (i) to delays in communication, and/or (ii) you not having online access to your personal data. Any changes of your personal data notified by you will be confirmed by Lifeline electronically.
The mother and/or the father and/or any of the Legal Guardians of the Child/Children must have access to the Online account and its administration. Lifeline will accept all correspondence and data provided by any of them electronically following a login into the Online account.
If the mother and/or the father and/or any of the Legal Guardians, wishes not to have a single joint Online account he/she shall notify Lifeline in writing by sending an email or fax or letter to the contact details provided in Lifeline’s Site. Upon receiving such notification Lifeline shall contact the mother and/or the father and/or any of the Legal Guardians as the case may be and discuss any appropriate action to be taken.
Lifeline maintains all personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) as amended or replaced from time to time.

You hereby acknowledge and accept that the rights to access your Online account are not transferable and not assignable by you without the prior written consent of Lifeline and without the joint consent of both mother and/or the father and/or any of the legal guardians of the Child as applicable.
Written communications
All communications shall be in writing. When using Lifeline’s Site, you accept that communication with Lifeline will be mainly electronic. Lifeline will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on Lifeline’s site. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all notices, information and other communications that Lifeline provides to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
Notices
All notices given by you to Lifeline in relation to the Online account must be send to info@lifelinecordblood.com. Lifeline may give notice to you at either the e-mail or postal address provided by you when you create the Online account. Notice will be deemed received and properly served immediately when sent to you. In proving the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of an e-mail, that such e-mail was sent to the specified e-mail address of the addressee.
Events outside our control
Lifeline will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of their obligations under these Terms and Conditions that is caused by events outside LIfeline’s control ("Force Majeure Event").
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond Lifeline’s control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
Lifeline’s performance under these Terms and Conditions is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and Lifeline will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Site and Online Account is controlled and operated by Lifeline. The content of the Site, including text, images, illustrations, audio clips and video clips is protected by intellectual property law and trademarks law of Cyprus and belong to Lifeline. You may print a copy of the Site content for your personal, non commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, post, transmit, distribute and/or exploit in any manner any of the Site content without the prior written consent of Lifeline.
As a condition to your use of this Site and of the Online Account you warrant Lifeline that you will not use the Site for any unlawfully purpose including but not limited the posting or transmitting of any material that shall be regarded as defamatory, scandalous or pornographic material. We have the right to deny access to the Site and/or the Online account in the event of the violation of the present Terms and Conditions.
LINKS
This Site through may contain links to other web sites ("Linked Sites"). The Linked Sites are provided for your convenience and information only and, as such, you access them at your own risk. The content of any Linked Sites is not under our control, and we are not responsible for, and do not endorse, such content, whether or not we are affiliated with the owners of such Linked Sites.
Waiver
If Lifeline fails, at any time during the term of the present Terms and Conditions, to insist upon strict performance of any of your obligations under the Terms and Conditions, or if Lifeline fails to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which Lifeline is entitled under the present Terms and Conditions, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.
A waiver by Lifeline of any default shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.
No waiver by Lifeline of any of these Website Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you in writing in accordance with the clauses of these Terms and Conditions.
Severability
If any of these Terms and Conditions are determined by Cyprus Courts to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Entire Agreement between you and Lifeline
These Terms and Conditions and any document expressly referred to them represent the Terms and Conditions for the creation of an Online Account for the verification and update of your personal data and complements any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between us in relation to the above mentioned subject matter. You acknowledge that, by accepting the present Terms and Conditions , you have not relied on any representation, undertaking or promise given by us or be implied from anything said or written by Lifeline except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions. The Agreement already signed is not amendment in any way unless as specifically stated herein.
Our right to vary these terms and conditions
Lifeline has the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting Lifeline’s business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws, statutes and regulatory requirements and/or any other reason that Lifeline considers relevant or necessary.
Lifeline will notify you in writing of any change to the present Terms and Conditions.
eLife is an online platform to provide you with an easy access for reviewing and updating your personal data kept by Lifeline, whenever needed. The data you access there have been either provided by you during enrolment or updated by you through your eLife account.
These records are of vital importance, as they are linked to the biological samples, we cryopreserve for you, so please, appreciate the importance of having your data correct and up to date.
We are glad to hear from you by submitting any updates you may have through your eLife account.
There are two types of accounts, one for Parents and one for the Owner.
• PARENT: Is the Mother, Father or Guardian who have signed an agreement with Lifeline for the storage of the Unit(s) or Cellular Therapy Products (CTPs) upon the child’s birth.
• OWNER: Is the CHILD with legal age, over 18 years old, who has signed an agreement with Lifeline for the continuation of the storage of the Unit(s) or Cellular Therapy Products (CTPs).
The procedure to create and manage either account is the same. The only difference is the information you are requested to provide, in order for the system to identify you and allow you to proceed with the registration of your account.
In both cases the system will guide you through the process which involves a few easy steps.
To create an account:

• Fill in three mandatory fields: A, B and either C or D: A: Mother’s ID or Passport number. exactly as shown on the agreement signed between you and Lifeline B: Mother’s date of birth C: LifeKit code: The LifeKit code is on the LifeKit provided at the time of your enrolment. Only 6 numbers of the code are needed for registration, it is clearly shown on the graphic presented on the field «C» and explained during your online registration process. Clients who’s LifeKit has been returned back to Lifeline, with the biological samples, should leave field «C» blank and fill in field «D» instead. D: Your Child’s date of birth. |

Repeating clients:If you are a repeating client and you need another Parent account, having more than one agreement with Lifeline, field «D» (child’s birth date) identifies the agreement for which you are creating the online account. Also, please note that you need to create one online account for each child or birth or for each agreement you have with Lifeline. |

The registration / creation of an account is very simple and should take you a few minutes. The system will guide you all the way through up to the point where your personal data will be displayed.
Please review and fill in any details that are missing or have been recorded wrongly. It is essential that you press submit to complete the process whether you have identified an error or even when the data are correct.
If your data are correct, DO NOT provide it again, you only need to provide the missing or wrong data.
The system uses the emails and telephone numbers you provide during registration ( or updates of your Profile at any stage later)on) to send One Time Password (OTP) for security purposes. Make sure to review, update and confirm your contact details in your profile settings, otherwise you won’t receive an OTP and you won’t be able to update any information. This can be done in Profile Setting when you login. OTP is sent only to confirmed email address AND/OR to the mobile number of the user(s).
Remember to login to your account any time in the future and review or update your personal data kept with us when there is a change.

You will also be able to receive any other information and services listed in the menu as follows:
• Online Payments
o For certain geographical areas you will be allowed to make online payments. Clients whose invoice is issued directly from Lifeline will be eligible to use this option and pay online
o If you are offered a monthly payment plan, choose recurring payment and the system will automatically charge your card on the day the payment is due, according to your monthly payment plan. You can access and review your payment plan online.
o Clients whose invoice is issued from their distributor they need to pay their local distributor and follow the payment procedures agreed with their distributor. The same applies for Reports and financial Statement.
• Access, Review and Submit changes with regards to the personal data.
